"We have the wherewithal to set the agenda for the nation"

Ok, so this weekend I came across an excellent video by Kevin Taft and the Alberta Liberals. Before I receive an onslaught of partisan accusations, I just wanted to point out that I think Albertans of all political stripes--even some Tory supporters--will identify with Taft's message. Thus, even if you are vehemently anti-Liberal I implore you to watch the video and leave your thoughts in the comments section. The fact of the matter is that Alberta is missing so many opportunities to re-invest its current wealth into the future. To promote economic diversification and invest in sustainable forms of energy production to carry us through the 21st century and beyond. We can turn this province into a technological, cultural, and economic world leader. But, it will take planning and the ability to acknowledge the importance of oil and gas to our social and economic fabric, but to not be limited by this fact.
