An environmental group should organize a tarfest music festival, akin to Coachella or the upcoming Pemberton music festival. Have it right across the Athabasca river from Syncrude. Get Radiohead up there, the Cure - even the Rolling Stones. We could all camp out near the tailings ponds, smell the fresh air, and cook some tar sand beetles under the northern lights. Tarfest is music festival whose time has come.
