Morgentaler gets (long overdue) Order of Canada

Props to Four Strong Winds, for writing a post that basically encapsulates what all of us at AGRDT  have been thinking about this Morgentaler-Order of Canada 'issue' (but have been too lazy/busy/overseas to write about).  Also, a thank you to those unsung people fighting for abortion rights for women all over.

(long overdue) Yasser Arafat won the Nobel peace prize, so what's an Order of Canada.
Morgentaler should get a Nobel peace prize for his work in womans rights by the sounds of some.
Then he could run for political office oh, except for the criminal record and all the nasty rumours of blackmail and so much more that we don't know about this phoney OoC recipient.

I agree. I'm 100% behind his nomination.

Ironic that I read this post today as I was on the radio last night defending his nomination. It was me and two other pro-choice womyn that I had never met before against 3 other womyn and the host (who claimed to be unbiased but definitely wasn't). Oh and hum.. the bajillion lifer callers who called in and accused us of being ill-informed and baby killers.

Puhlease.

I honestly think you can anti-choice and still support his nomination.

He might be a dick but you know what? Brian Mulroney has an Order of Canada. End of discussion.
